Level: Beginners A1/A2
This game can be used to
1. Get warmed up
2. Review yes or no questions (verb to be - simple present)
3. Wrap up (motivation before students do a task)
4. Practical activity after introduction of Yes or No Questions
Groups of 4 students
Rules:
Real characters (Taylor Swift) / Fiction characters (Mickey Mouse)
20 Questions
Materials:
Piece of paper
pen
Procedure:
1. One student thinks of an character and writes it on a piece of paper
2. Then he places the piece on the forehead of the person who has to guess the character, so everyone can see it.
3. Finally student starts with the questions
Example:
Student: Am I a human?
Group: Yes you are.
Student: Do I like to write ?
Group: No, you don't.

The following are rules which apply:
- The raft can take only two persons at the same time.
- The father cannot stay with any of the daughters without the presence of the mother.
- The mother cannot stay with any of the sons without the presence of the father.
- The thief (with striped shirt) cannot stay with any family member without the presence of the policeman.
- The raft can only be operated by the policeman, the father and the mother.
